The Part Nobody Posts About
Day two of the trip. Everyone still feels like day one — except you.
Dust on your neck. Sunscreen and bug spray you never rinsed off. Sand in places sand shouldn't be. You love being outside — you just don't love smelling like it by dinner. A wet wipe doesn't cut it, and driving 40 minutes to a truck stop shower isn't a vacation activity.
This is the small, unglamorous reason people cut trips short. Not because the trip was bad — because feeling grungy wears people down.
